TWEED BLUE JACKET

Hi Huns...

I'm certainly in the mood for a lil tweed these days...

Can i call it tweed or shall i call it Boucle?...I might have to play about with that one...From my perspective tweed material like a chanel coat...the fabric texture is more raised and has more loose thread to it and a boucle is more flatten with tiny raised knots with little to none loose thread...Well that's the only way i can differentiate the two...Or possibly it could be just the same fabric but with a different name...But you can't deny there is a major difference between the two...So just to clear that up..i did a lil...teeny...tiny...bit of research and found out this...

Boucle is actually a yarn and is not a finished product - Though, is used to refer to texture and a woven boucle yarn might look like or even be used in a tweed. Tweed is a type of weave - A twill weave which describes how the fibers are woven together.

Either way...i just adore this lil jacket...And i should be wearing it more often...Although i have to say...i hadn't had the chance to...No reasons, other than me just casually living in my 30% wardrobe at the moment...See it does try and creep in from time to time...

So this summer...I'm gonna make it my duty to wear it more often...As often as i can...

Material

  • Fabric used for Jacket : Boucle / Tweed fabric purchased from Mermaids Hackney Fabric shop
