Ok!... what is Self drafting or even pattern cutting??...Let me explain a lil...It's a process of creating initial paper patterns which are called slopers or to you and i, patterns. The garment pieces are cut from pattern pieces bought or dafted yourself before stitching together to create a garment.
They can be made by using the following equipments such as rulers, curved and straight to draw the pieces on paper to be transfered to card paper. Or, if your feeling confident enough you could trace directly onto Calico fabric and use those pieces to drape onto a dress form, aka a mannaquin.
It’s one of the main essential skills to posses, if you are going to design clothes.
