Asymmetric Denim dress

Hi Huns...

Let me tell you....Sooo Excited!

So I've been working on a project behind the scenes since last weekend...As moi...Yes Moi...was approached by The Craft Cotton Co. by a LOVELY! lady...called Talia...Well, they gifted me with not only just fabric but pattern N all...with a cute little, The Craft Cotton Co. tape measure...so cute...What a nice touch...I mean needless to say how chuffed i was...

So my chosen fabric i went for was this Dark denim cotton...Although in appearance which is very deceptive by the way...It actually looks like heavy-weight denim...Couldn't be the furthest away from truth....In-fact, its the total opposite...It's very light-weight and a dream to work with...well lets be real....anything that's not too shear, delicate and not to slippery or fiddly...well it's my idea of a dream...

Cutting into the fabric is just like butter...You know that gratifying subtle noise your scissor makes whilst just effortlessly gliding along the fabric...Yea...Just like that...BUTTER!

Now you know ...I'm not one to follow patterns but this one was rrright up my street....SO! straight forward...But of course it wouldn't be my make if i didn't do a few tweaking here and there....

So on that note....I decided to change the top half of the pattern into a low-cut slightly curved/squared neck line and sleeveless...Especially if i wanna get my wears outta of it come summer....I've also changed the back of the dress in-keeping with the top half with invisible zip insertion and mirrored the asymmetric at the front to the back as-well rather than having it straight...

Ok...anything else?...Oooh yea....I even added in some cheeky pockets...As i love...love...

Love a dress with pockets...Yeah...and that's about it...VIOLA!!....Noticed i haven't top stitched the denim...Purposely!...As i believe less is more on this occasion....
